Do the minis replace the wooden meeples?

Yes they do. The Miniatures Pack contains miniatures to replace all of the wooden figures in the Arcs base game and Blighted Reach Campaign Expansion. To clarify, you will receive BOTH wooden meeples (from the base) and the minis (from the mini exp). Their functionality is the same and in gameplay, meant to replace existing wooden ones with plastic counterparts

Is there a Solo Mode?

There is no plan to develop a solo or clockwork opponent for Arcs.

How will shipping charges be collected?

Through the pledge manager platform, Backerkit. If you are new to Backerkit, it is our post-campaign platform where you confirm and finalize the details of your order, such as adding on extra items and paying for shipping costs.

When will shipping charges be collected?

Roughly 3 months before we plan to begin fulfillment. We will communicate via Kickstarter update once this date approaches.

Why are you collecting shipping after the campaign?

This allows us to appropriately price shipping in a way (and at a time) that doesn’t expose our small independent studio to unknown risks.

Will shipping rates change prior to fulfillment?

It is extremely unlikely but not impossible. If rates do change for any reason, we will notify backers appropriately before shipping charges are collected. However, we always do our best to avoid increasing any costs already determined in a campaign.

I’m a European Backer. Will I have to pay VAT?

Yes, as required by law. VAT rates will be based on the cost of your total pledge plus shipping, and vary depending on your residing country. These costs will be reflected and collected in the pledge manager after the crowdfunding campaign is over.

Is shipping to the UK duty-free?

At the moment, import and duty fees should be expected. However, we are still currently working on a more customs friendly shipping option to the UK.

My region is not covered under the "friendly" shipping areas, will I have to pay customs/VAT/additional taxes?

All regions and countries not listed under “friendly” shipping areas are subject to any regional import fees or taxes as they may apply locally.

The shipping section says you aren't shipping to my region, can you please add my region?

Unfortunately we cannot, however, we encourage you to contact your local retailer and make plans with them to place a retail order if possible.

Will Arcs be printed in any languages other than English for the first printing?

Not for the first printing. As a general rule we implement localization efforts with the second printing of our products. There are a number of internal and external resources required for the more than 13 languages our games are printed in and we’ve found this is the most efficient process for the studio and its partners.

I'm a retailer, can I pledge?

Yes, please email clay@ledergames.com to make your order. You do not need to back the campaign but if you’d like to be emailed the updates, backing for any amount will accomplish that. (They are public and do not require that you back to view them, we do not publish “backer only” updates).

Why aren't there any Stretch Goals?

Leder Games aims to present you with the full product offering on the first day of our campaigns. As a general ethos, we want to give our kickstarter backers a substantial value without attempting to capitalize on the fear of missing out or gimmicks.

Can I add other Leder Games titles to my order in the backerkit?

Unfortunately not, as it overcomplicates logistics and fulfillment. However, you can buy available Leder Games stock on our webstore: https://ledergames.com/collections/full-catalog

Can I back multiple copies of Arcs?

Yes, up to a maximum of 5 copies of each product per backer. Please refer to the shipping rate sheet for an estimate on how shipping costs will increase per additional pledge. Funds may be added during the crowdfunding campaign and then later confirmed in the pledge manager.

Will you offer late pledges after the Kickstarter is over?

Yes! Late pledges will be available a few weeks after the crowdfunding period is over. A link to a pre-order page will be accessible from the Arcs Kickstarter landing page once it is live.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
